Wripen Roll

Wripen?

Pronounced rip’-in, wripen is a noun used by discriminating journalists-in-the-know everywhere (of which the author of this blog is apparently the first).

Wripen is a conjugation of the words write and pen and may be used interchangeably with those words.

However, whereas “writing” refers to the process and perhaps the physical act of composition, and “penning” is suggestive of the mechanical act of writing and may also refer to the unrelated act of enclosing, wripen eliminates these ambiguities and adds the implication or suggestion that no idea is original, that is, that all ideas are essentially ripped (copied) from something that came before.

Wripen has yet to be used as a verb but, evolution being as it is (fundamentalist Christians – please indulge me here), this definition should not be interpreted to preclude the use of wripen in that grammatical manner.

So, what’s a Wripen Roll? Why it’s a bunch of wripens just as “bankroll” is a bunch of bank notes.
